What Is Collateral Coin Setting?

In cross-currency margin mode, your unified margin account (referred to as "the account") allows you to enable collateralization of specific crypto assets as margin. Collateralized coins are discounted based on their respective discount rates and converted into USD value, which contributes to the account’s effective margin. This margin supports:

How to Configure Collateral Coins?

Prerequisites

  1. Available only in cross-currency margin mode.
  2. USDT is auto-enabled and cannot be disabled.
  3. Repay all outstanding loans for a coin before disabling its collateral.
  4. Close all positions and orders tied to the coin’s margin.
  5. If disabling collateral reduces effective margin below maintenance requirements, the action will be blocked.
  6. Lending collateral remains unaffected—this setting applies only to trading accounts.

  1. Trade Page → Click Assets → Collateral Settings icon
  2. Assets PageTrading Account → Toolbar Settings icon
  3. MM Panel (via top-right icon) → Navigate to Collateral Settings
