Prerequisites for Staking INJ on Injective Hub
To stake INJ successfully, follow these steps:
- Connect your wallet
- Bridge your INJ tokens to Injective
- Delegate to an Injective validator
For this tutorial, we’ll use MetaMask as the demo wallet.
Step 1: Connect Your Wallet
- Navigate to Injective Hub.
- Click "Connect" at the top-right corner and select "MetaMask".
- Once connected, an INJ wallet address will automatically link to your crypto wallet.
- Your Ethereum address will display your INJ address in the upper-right corner.
Step 2: Bridge INJ to Injective
To stake INJ, you must first deposit it into your Injective wallet. Skip to Step 3 if you already hold INJ in your wallet.

- Select "Bridge" on Injective Hub.
- Choose "Ethereum" as the asset source.
- If bridging for the first time, "Set Allowance" in MetaMask (no amount input required). This enables the Injective bridge contract to interact with your ERC-20 tokens.
- Ensure you have ETH in your wallet to cover Ethereum gas fees.
- Enter the INJ amount to transfer and click "Transfer Now".
- Verify the transferred balance in your Injective Wallet.
Step 3: Delegate to a Validator
After bridging INJ, delegate your tokens to a validator:
- Click "Staking" in the left panel of Injective Hub.
- Review validator stats: total validators, staking APR, and your delegatable INJ balance.
- Select a validator and click "Delegate Now".
- Enter the INJ amount to stake in the pop-up window.
