About Zaif
What Is Zaif?
Zaif is a Japanese centralized cryptocurrency exchange (CEX) and one of the first platforms licensed by Japan’s Financial Services Agency (JFSA). Despite ranking as the 35th-largest exchange by volume in 2018, Zaif suffered a $60 million hack in September 2018, leading to a temporary shutdown.
FISCO Digital Asset Group later acquired Zaif, injecting ¥5 billion ($44.7 million) to revive operations. The platform now operates under FISCO’s management.
